On our way to Edfu, we had a chance to take some photos off the deck of the boat we were traveling on (the Double Diamond). There were plush gardens, trees, animals and even palaces along the banks of the Nile. Something new seemed to peeking out around every bend.
We traveled to the Temple of Edfu by horse drawn buggy. This was a bit sketchy, but everyone arrive safely. The temple was large, with the Holy of Holies at its center. Every wall within the structure seemed to have carvingsĀ
ancient tales of war and romance. On our way back to the boat we stopped at some of the outdoor souvenir stands. Later on our trip we had a traditional Egyptian dinner that required us to dress in traditional Egyptian clothing. These shops were supposed to have the largest selection.
